A luxury 5-star property in the Winelands is seeking a professional and service-driven Waiter to deliver an exceptional dining experience to guests. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who understands refined service standards, attention to detail, and the importance of personalised guest interaction in a high-end dining environment.
The Role
You'll be responsible for providing attentive, knowledgeable, and polished table service while maintaining the highest service standards. The Waiter plays a key role in creating memorable guest experiences, working closely with the restaurant and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional a la carte service to guests
Present menus, explain dishes, and offer informed recommendations
Deliver food and beverages accurately and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area
Handle guest requests, preferences, and concerns with professionalism
Ensure service standards and presentation guidelines are upheld
Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow
Assist with setting up and closing down the restaurant
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Waiter in luxury hotels or fine dining restaurants
Strong understanding of fine dining service procedures
Good food and beverage knowledge, including wine service
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Hospitality qualification advantageous
South African citizenship (non-negotiable)
