An excellent opportunity for an experienced Waiter to join a luxury hospitality environment in Franschhoek. This role is suited to a service-driven professional who delivers warm, discreet, and attentive service while maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage presentation.

What You'll Do

Greet guests warmly and deliver friendly, professional service throughout the dining experience Follow the correct sequence of service and anticipate guest needs Remain fully informed of table allocations, dietary requirements, allergies, and special requests through daily briefings Communicate all guest food requirements and allergies clearly to the kitchen Demonstrate strong menu and wine knowledge to confidently guide guest choices Recommend dishes, wines, and beverages with a focus on upselling Respond professionally to guest feedback and escalate concerns when required Prepare for service by reviewing day sheets and function details relevant to each shift Ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset to required standards Maintain cleanliness of service areas including glassware, equipment, fridges, and floors Assist with monthly stock takes when required Support restocking of fridges and bar areas in line with FIFO principles Assist with set-ups for picnics, braais, conferences, and special events Accurately capture all transactions on the POS system

What You'll Need

Minimum 2 years' waitering experience in a high-end fine-dining environment Strong knowledge of wines, cocktails, spirits, and beverages Proficiency in POS systems Excellent guest focus and communication skills Strong attention to detail and time management Ability to upsell confidently and professionally Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Matric certificate required Wine certification advantageous
