An excellent opportunity for an experienced Barman to join a luxury hospitality environment in Franschhoek. This role is ideal for a service-driven professional with strong beverage knowledge, a passion for cocktails, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

What You'll Do

Deliver friendly, professional, and attentive bar service at all times Greet guests warmly and anticipate needs in line with refined service standards Provide prompt and accurate drinks service to restaurant and pool areas Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the beverage menu and wine list, offering informed recommendations Prepare classic and signature cocktails to a high standard Respond professionally to guest feedback and escalate concerns when required Accommodate reasonable non-menu requests where possible Ensure the coffee station is checked and fully stocked for each service Maintain cleanliness and presentation of bar and service areas, including glassware, equipment, fridges, and floors Assist with seasonal operational requirements, including maintaining fireplaces during winter service Accurately capture all transactions on the POS system Complete shift cash-ups and ensure they are checked and signed off by management

What You'll Need

Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role within a luxury or fine-dining environment Strong bar set-up, drinks service, and bar hygiene knowledge Excellent cocktail knowledge and beverage presentation skills Familiarity with food and beverage equipment and operating procedures Proficiency in POS systems Strong communication skills with a guest-focused approach Matric certificate required Wine knowledge or mixology training advantageous Preference for candidates based in Franschhoek or surrounding areas
