Job Summary This intimate bush-veld retreat offers just four luxury, south-facing safari tents, each with en-suite bathroom, private balcony overlooking the garden, and interior comforts like a work desk, wardrobe, fan and mosquito net. A central communal lounge and dining area--complete with open-air boma and outdoor fireplace--provides a relaxed space for meals and socialising, all within a low-impact, off-grid setting powered by solar energy.
Candidate requirements:
- Excellent leadership capabilities
- The ability to manage a team
- Good overall knowledge of all departments
- Good administrative capabilities and stock control
- FGASA Level 2
- Full Trails
- Valid First Aid
- Rifle competency with ARH and own rifle
- Excellent guest interaction skills
- Min of 3-5 years as a Head Chef of Sous Chef within a lodge environment
- Excellent HACCP (or similar) knowledge
- Food costing and menu development capabilities
- Excellent leadership capabilities
