SPA MANAGER

5-star Hotel - South Africa (ZA)

Starting Date: 01 September 2023 / A.S.A.P

Reports to: GM / Business Owner

Hours:

• Monday - Sunday (Shifts)
• Flexibility and reliability xe2x80x93 ability to work overtime and outside of normal working hours to accommodate the needs of the business

Package Potential:

• R35,000 - R50,000 Gross Salary per month (negotiable based on experience)

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: * South African national with clear criminal record

• Ability to work shifts as required by hotel & operations (weekends & major holidays)
• Professionally groomed and highly presentable - you are the example of the team
• Excellent communication skills
• Warm & inviting personality - you are a team leader, not a dictator
• Certification from a recognized Beauty Training facility with qualifications in either Spa / Beauty / Cosmetology / Spa Management
• City & Guilds / ITEC / CIDESCO / CIBTAC international qualification
• 5+ Years experience as a SPA MANAGER on land or sea
• Cruise ship employment experience preferred
• Ability to provide legible communication to your team, superiors and guests
• Able to train staff on spa protocols
• Able to lead and develop employees and services
• Knowledge of spa and salon procedures
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs
• Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Spa or Gym
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for achieving retail sales targets and must be able to evaluate the spaxe2x80x99s performance review and financial analysis
• Guest service orientation by maintaining the highest standard of guest service by following international protocols and displaying genuine care and attention to detail
• Update own knowledge of products and treatment brand standards, outside of formal training
• Assist in marketing events, workshops, training and skin centre tasks
• Monitoring spa inventory
• Day to day responsibility of equipment products, cleanliness and hygiene of the treatment and preparation areas
• Managing of staff and their training and development
• Perform Therapist assessments
• Discuss operational processes and identify areas where efficiency can be enhanced
• Evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability efforts undertaken by the spa
• Set goals and objectives for the upcoming quarter or a year
• Good communication with other hotel departments
