Job Description
We are looking for an experienced 5 Star Hotel Receptionist to join the team. The purpose of the position is to correspond with local and international guests at the property and to balance the daily revenue report. Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:
- Grade 12
- Post matric hotel school qualification would be advantageous
- 1-2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a five-star property
- Computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Good numeracy skills
- High level of English proficiency
- Must be motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic
- Must be a team player, with a positive attitude
- Must be willing to work shifts
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Own transport preferable
- Handle email requests in a professional and effective manner,
- Handle guest inquiries in a professional and effective manner:
- Ensure knowledge of hotel room categories and layout of the property
- Ensure knowledge of different offerings at the property
- Resolution of customer complaints.
- Sense ownership.
- Management of guest accounts:
- Pit checks to be done on each shift daily
- Operate the hotelxe2x80x99s Property Management System: OPERA Cloud.
- Check guest in upon arrival and check them out upon departure,
- Operate the switchboard and direct calls,
- Restaurant bookings and hotel reservations, and
- Liaise effectively between departments.
- Constantia, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
