Job Description

The Technology Support Intern will work alongside the technology teams to deliver high-quality IT support services. This internship offers hands-on experience in an IT Service Management (ITSM) environment, assisting with incidents, service requests, and basic technical tasks while learning industry-standard tools, processes, and best practices.

OBJECTIVES:



- Gain practical experience in a professional IT Service Management environment.

- Develop foundational technical support and troubleshooting skills.

- Learn how to manage incidents and service requests using ITSM tools and processes.

- Build strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills in a technology support role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



The intern will:

- Provide first-line support for basic technical issues.

- Log, track, and update incidents and service requests in the ITSM system.

- Perform basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers as needed.

- Communicate clearly and professionally with users, keeping them informed on ticket progress.

- Support user account administration, including password resets and access requests.

- Assist with device setup, configuration, and software installations.

- Learn and utilize ITSM platforms, remote support tools, and monitoring systems.

- Help maintain and update knowledge base articles and support documentation.

- Follow IT service management processes, including Incident, Request, and Change Management.

- Adhere to company security, data protection, and information governance policies.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:



- Completed certification or diploma in Software Development, Computer Science, Programming, or a related field.

- Basic understanding of IT support principles and technical troubleshooting.

- Prior IT support experience is a plus but not required.

- Good command of English, both verbal and written.
