SUMMARY:
A prestigious 5-star game lodge is seeking a highly skilled and creative Head Pastry Chef to lead the pastry section of its culinary team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for fine desserts and baked goods, excellent leadership skills, and a flair for innovation. You will be responsible for designing and executing world-class dessert menus, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality, and training and mentoring junior pastry staff.
POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

  • Formal culinary or pastry qualification
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Pastry Chef in a luxury or fine-dining environment
  • Previous experience in a 5-star lodge or hotel setting
  • Creative flair with attention to detail and presentation
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and present high-quality desserts, breads, and pastries
  • Design seasonal and event-specific pastry menus
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the pastry kitchen
  • Oversee ordering, stock control, and cost management for pastry items
