Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Engineering Foreman Electrical to be placed in Venetia Project, near Musina, Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the GES. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• xefxbbxbfCost containment, high mean time to failure after repairs
• Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
• Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
• Effective stakeholder engagement
• Engineering installations are construction according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
• Engineering equipment in maintained according to agreed standards, procedures and schedules
• Compliance with SHEQ, MRC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
• Maintenance schedules to be in place and 'living'
• Administration management and Quality management risks mitigated
• Maintenance reports completed in detail and accurately
• Management of the maintenance budget

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
• Section 26 Recognised/Equivalent Trade Certificate relating to Electrical LV and MV field
• Mine based technical certifications (e.g. Basic Hydraulics and Basic Rigging

3ton * Engineering Foreman Certificate of competence or proof of formal Supervisory training in planning, leading, organising, and control

• MS Office Proficient (Word & Excel)
• Sound verbal and written communication skills in English

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• At least 5 years practical experience as an Artisan, appointed in a legal position
• At least 2 years' experience acting on a supervisory level as an Engineering Foreman
• At least 5 years practical experience on winders (preferred)
