Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Engineering Foreman to join our client's team within the dynamic and evolving mining industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering, coupled with leadership abilities, to oversee and manage engineering operations effectively

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel, ensuring their adherence to safety protocols and performance standards.
• Maintenance Management: Coordinate and execute maintenance schedules for mining equipment, machinery, and infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues and breakdowns promptly, implementing preventive measures to mitigate future problems.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the engineering team and across the mining site.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects, adhering to timelines and budgetary constraints.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and reports on engineering operations for analysis and improvement purposes.
• Training & Development: Facilitate training programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in engineering practices and safety protocols.
• Resource Management: Manage resources efficiently, including manpower, materials, and equipment, optimizing their utilization and ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant field). Additional certifications or qualifications in mining engineering are advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry, showcasing progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Proficiency in maintenance and repair techniques for mining equipment, strong knowledge of mining regulations, and familiarity with relevant software and tools.
• Proven track record of leading and managing a team, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and mentor team members effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex engineering issues efficiently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
