SUMMARY:
Are you detail-oriented and numerically sharp with experience in cost estimating?
Our client in Cape Town Foreshore needs assistance within their project management department. This entails checking quotes from contractors, collating timesheets for labour quoting purposes, updating budgets and preparing cost estimations.
Own transport is essential due to project requirements.
Normal hours: 07:00 - 15:00
Project hours: 07:00 - 19:00, including public holidays and weekends (paid overtime)
Projects range from 40 to 90 days, three times a year
POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

  • Btech degree or Advanced Diploma in Quantity Surveying, or Cost
qualification * Minimum 3 years' experience in the Construction/Engineering Industry
  • NB: Own transport and flexibility to work longer hours during Projects
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • WinQS, DimX, SAP, Estimating Software experience - advantageous
  • Adobe - advantageous
  • Attention to detail
DUTIES
  • Prepare engineering estimates and perform cost reporting
  • Assist in Final Account Verification (check
quotations against contract rates) * Set up enquiry BOQ's from a scope of work
  • Adjudication of tenders
  • Manage enquiries for tender purposes
  • Prepare Contract BOQ's
  • Administer Contract Variation Orders
  • Conduct site measures
  • Process interim payments
Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
