Job Description
We are a leading transport and logistics group seeking an experienced
Workshop Supervisor
to lead and manage the maintenance and repair operations across our national fleet. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, technically skilled leader with strong experience in vehicle diagnostics, workshop operations, team management, and adherence to health and safety standards within a transport or fleet-intensive environment.Requirements:
Grade 12 35 year's experience in fleet maintenance,
workshop operations, or transport technical
roles.
Qualified Diesel Mechanic will be an advantage Strong mechanical and diagnostic knowledge of trucks and trailers Ability to identify technical faults (engine gearbox, brakes, suspension, tyres, air systems) Experience working with breakdowns recoveries, and fault assessments Computer literacy (Excel, emails, maintenance systems/ TMS) Good communication and coordination skills Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent technical issues
. Strong leadership abilities to manage mechanics and workshop staff
Knowledge of roadworthiness requirements and COF standards. Ability to manage maintenance costs and approve repair quotations.
