Purpose of the Role
The Panel Beater will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and finishing vehicle bodywork to manufacturer standards. This short-term contract is intended to support the workshop during a peak workload period.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Body Repairs
Assess damage to vehicle panels and body structures.
Remove, repair, or replace damaged panels using appropriate tools and techniques.
Straighten and align vehicle frames and body components.
Preparation & Finishing
Sand, fill, and prepare surfaces for painting.
Ensure repaired areas meet quality standards before paint application.
Fit and align replacement parts such as doors, fenders, and bumpers.
Workshop Duties
Operate welding equipment, grinders, and other panel beating tools safely.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
Conduct final inspections to ensure repairs meet company and customer expectations.
Report progress and issues to the Workshop Supervisor.
Complete job cards and documentation accurately.
Skills & Requirements
Proven experience in panel beating or automotive body repair.
Knowledge of welding, metal shaping, and body alignment techniques.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Contract Details
Duration: 1 month (with possibility of extension depending on workload).
Working Hours: Monday-Thrusday, 08:00-17:00 and Friday 08.00-16.00.

Pay: R2000,00 - R2500,00 per week
