Job Description
We are a leading transport and logistics group seeking an experienced
Workshop Supervisor
to lead and manage the maintenance and repair operations across our national fleet. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, technically skilled leader with strong experience in vehicle diagnostics, workshop operations, team management, and adherence to health and safety standards within a transport or fleet-intensive environment.Grade 12
Trade Test: Diesel Mechanic (essential).
4 year's supervisory or workshop management experience within the Transport Industry.
Strong problem-solving, planning, and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and respond to breakdowns when needed.
Manage and supervise workshop staff and daily operations.
Oversee and plan all maintenance, services, and repairs on trucks and trailers.
Maintain quality control though inspections and audits.
Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Manage parts inventory, suppliers, and workshop budgets.
Maintain accurate service records and ensure minimal vehicle downtime.
Perform any other tasks given through by management.
Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good condition.
Prepare reports for senior management.
Offer support and guidance to staff as needed.
