Our client a well established Truck organisation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the truck maintenance and repair operations. The Workshop Manager will be responsible for leading a team of technicians, ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our fleet of trucks, and managing the workshop''''s day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management:Lead and motivate a team of technicians, mechanics, and support staff.
Set clear performance expectations, provide training, and conduct performance evaluations.
Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Workshop Operations:Plan and prioritize maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Ensure that all equipment and tools are properly maintained and utilized.
Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and supplies, and reorder as necessary. Truck Maintenance:Oversee scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs of the truck fleet.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of the trucks. Safety and Compliance:Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct safety meetings, trainings, and audits to promote a safe work environment.
Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and near misses. Budget Management:Develop and manage the workshop budget, including cost control measures.
Monitor expenses, analyze variances, and recommend cost-saving initiatives. Quality Control:Implement quality control procedures to ensure the highest level of workmanship.
Conduct quality inspections on completed repairs and maintenance tasks. Customer Service:Collaborate with internal departments and external customers to meet service expectations.
