Job Description


The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), in partnership with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE), is calling on second- and third-year students studying Horticulture, Landscape Technology, Nature Conservation, Wildlife Management, Game Ranch Management and Ecotourism to apply for work-integrated learning placement.

Placement will be from 1 January 2024 to July 2024 or 1 January 2024 to December 2024 and duration will be either 6 or 12 months, dependent on specific centre requirements.

Requirements: Second- and third-year Horticulture, Nature Conservation, Ecotourism, Game Ranch Management and Wildlife Management students who are self-motivated and enthusiastic are encouraged to apply. Good grades will be a strong advantage.

Students who have already graduated need not apply.

Students who have failed some of their modules will not be eligible for placement as they would be unable to register for WIL.

Students must make their own arrangements for accommodation.

Monthly stipend: R3 575.75
