Position Overview

The following job specifications are for positions available with AKB Technology and our clients. All positions are offered on a 1-year contract basis. We offer competitive industry rates commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our Directory Services and Messaging team at the L2 level. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for our client's directory services (Active Directory) and messaging (Exchange) environments. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of support engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of L2 support engineers, providing technical guidance and support.

Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues related to Active Directory and Exchange.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user accounts, group policies, DNS, DHCP, and other directory services components.

Manage and maintain the Exchange messaging environment, including mailbox management, transport rules, and performance monitoring.

Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patching, updates, and system health checks.

Create and maintain technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles.

Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues and implement new solutions.

Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proven experience in a senior support role for Active Directory and Exchange.

Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.

In-depth experience with Active Directory, including Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.

Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server and Exchange Online.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) are highly desirable.
