System Analyst Team Lead

Job Description


The Incumbent will be part of a dynamic team working on enterprise software systems. The Systems Analyst Team Lead will provide technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship. Responsible for mainly maintaining and first line support on Syspro- and integrated systems/applications. This means to document, analyze, create, test and modify computer systems, programs and integrations, administrative tasks, and day-to-day problem analysis, issue tracking, and resolution.

He/she is responsible for project tracking and control for assigned modules or systems, serving as a liaison between functional and technical resources to manage the development of new system functionality, upgrades, system modifications, and day-to-day problem analysis, issue tracking, and resolution.

Required minimum education/training

  • Associated degree in computer related discipline. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Working experience in Syspro ERP solution
  • Financial accounting
Required minimum work experience:
  • At least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as an ERP system Support Analyst
  • At least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience implementing ERP and other software solutions
  • Experience with managing teams to develop and implement software applications
  • Experience with leading a team
  • Ability and aptitude to continuously search for enhancements and innovation
  • Dynamic (ability to learn other technologies and take on different responsibilities)
  • Logical thinker (strong troubleshooting skills)
  • Uses own initiative and can work independently
  • Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders
  • Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems and processes
  • Proficient in writing fine-tuned SQL queries, stored procedures (e.g. MSSQL code) and working with data in relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL etc.
  • Experience in SQL Server Report Services
Knowledge
  • Ability to: Recognize and resolve system related problems; work independently and make necessary decisions throughout the systems process within department guidelines
  • Financial background
  • Understanding the overall business process and how to align system functionality and business processes.
  • Ability to understand the structure of the systems database and where all the data is stored in order to extract ad-hoc reports.
  • Skilled at defining report requirements for users as well as documenting systems changes required.
  • Understanding of SQL and how to extract data from a relational database for problem analysis as well as ad-hoc report extraction.

Key Performance Areas:
  • Develop documents and prioritizes business requirements, develops new business models and expanded capabilities.
  • Be the capability domain specialist, identify risk and potential mitigation based on domain expertise
  • Examine current systems.
  • Define and document processes for assigned areas within capability, manage data quality, manage stakeholder relationships, drive efficiency and effectiveness of process, and manage process metrics and performance.
  • Lead and mentoring other ICT Analysts

  • Produce specifications for new or modified systems
  • Lead user acceptance testing, field user acceptance testing and readiness activities for the assigned process areas during deployment and adoption.
