Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a Switchboard Operator to answer incoming telephone calls at the IALCH switchboard.

Duties & Responsibilities
Incoming Calls
Greet callers in a friendly and professional manner, following the Switchboard Script OP/TM/03/IALCH.
Answer all calls promptly, aiming for minimum 15s answer time
Transfer all calls to the correct extensions
Take detailed messages when users are not available
Pass messages on as soon as possible
Provide accurate information to callers at all times
Caller interaction
Adhere to the general telephone etiquette in form FM15 Switchboard Assessment of Telephone Skills* Handle difficult callers with respect and diplomacy
Follow all Switchboard Procedures
Emergency calls
Keep an updated emergency contact list
Make emergency calls as required by the client
Keep a record of emergency calls
Switchboard database
Update the information continuously as received.
General
Adhere to TFS House Rules and Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Systems (SHEQ) (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 18001
Skills and Competencies
Computer Literacy on MS Packages (MS Word, Excel, Access)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Telephone etiquette

Qualifications
Matric
Secretarial or telephonist Certificate/Diploma would be an advantage
1-2 years' experience in similar environment
Customer services experience
