Support Technician (tier 1)

Job Description

The Support Technician is responsible for the 1st line support to customers. This includes general user support and platform-specific responsibilities and duties to ensure systems are operational and always maintained. Duties and tasks are done mostly remotely from the office however onsite callouts etc are to be expected.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Customer support on the service desk

General user support

M365 management

VOIP Telephony

Onsite Support

Assisting with achieving a satisfactory resolution to any issues or problems a customer may be experiencing.

Proactive Monitoring of services (Connectivity)

Essential:



Microsoft Windows 10, 11 Operating Systems

M365 Management (Mail, SharePoint, OneDrive)

Networking (Switch, VLAN, Mikrotek)

Knowledge of monitoring systems (PRTG, ZABBIX a bons)

Microsoft Applications (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, One Drive)

RMM Tools (Kaseya, Solarwinds)

Telephony support (VOIP)

Qualifications / Experience / Skills Required:

Minimum 1-2 years hands-on experience in an IT Support role.

Vendor-specific certification such as Microsoft, A+, N+?

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES

Must have good telephone manners and communication skills.
