Location: Fourways, Johannesburg

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Admin Specialist to join a close-knit team in Fourways, Johannesburg. The role will entail sales administration and addressing incoming queries about stock and supplies. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing the supply chain processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and on-time delivery of products to customers. The warehouse where stock is kept is based in Zambia so occasional travel will be required from time to time.

Essential

  • Minimum 3 year Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • 3-5 years proven experience in a supply chain function delivering electrical spare parts or similar in the SADC region
  • Experience with client engagement
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Preferable
  • Knowledge of road logistics into Third country in Africa and customs regulations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain software.
Key Responsibilities: * Sales Administration /Client Relationship management
  • Address incoming enquiries from customers (Power utilities or EPC Contractors)
  • Get quotations ready based on specified requirements
  • Load and submit invoices
  • Inventory/Stock Management - Products relating to electrical spare parts used in MV and LV Power Lines
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Utilize forecasting tools and historical data to predict demand trends and plan inventory accordingly.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain accurate lead times and stock availability.
  • Assist Financial Controller in conducting regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Order Fulfilment:
  • Follow up purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Work closely with Logistics Manager to optimize transportation and distribution to clients in the SADC region and locally within Zambia
  • Resolve issues related to order discrepancies or delays.
  • Logistics Support
  • Provide administration relief to Logistics/Transport Manager
  • Co-ordinate with clients on the status of their delivery
  • Address any queries from clients
