Are you a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in stock control and warehousing? We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join the BCE Warehouse team as a Storeman. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and efficiency of our stock operations.

The Role:

The Storeman will be responsible for assisting with and managing all inventory control-related activities, with a focus on day-to-day physical management of stock within the BCE Warehouse.

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):



Maintaining physical control and organisation of inventory within assigned areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and security. Accurately counting and recording stock received and dispatched according to procedures. Performing regular cycle counts and participating in full stock takes and reconciliations. Keeping stock items always organised and readily accessible for efficient retrieval. Inspecting items in stock for defects or damage and reporting findings promptly to the manager. Conducting investigations into stock discrepancies and reporting findings to the manager. Maintaining accurate administrative records of inventory and stock management. Tracking inventory movements, creating reports, and reconciling inter-branch/warehouse transfers. Assisting in the design, development, and implementation of inventory control procedures. Performing other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills



Grade 12/Matric certificate. Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Previous experience of at least 1-3 years in a Storeman, Stock Controller, or similar hands-on warehousing position. 1-3 years of previous cycle count experience. Computer literacy (1-3 years of experience). Exceptional understanding of inventory management practices such as cycle counting and ABC analysis. Excellent command of the English language (both verbal and written). A related degree (preference will be given to degree-holding individuals). Experience with SAP (1-3 years an advantage).
