Starke Ayres is the foremost African specialist and global supplier of premium vegetable, flower and lawn seed varieties - both for commercial and home garden planting.
The following position has become available for a Picker Packer, based in Gqeberha, Purpose: To pick stock and make up customer orders as per customer invoice and prepare same for dispatch as per customer requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Picks products and makes up orders as per customer order and transfers them to the holding area for checking.
• Ensures that correct seed reference numbers are picked and report all incorrect reference numbers to the Stock Controller.
• Advises Stock Controller if certain items are out of stock and awaits further instructions.
• Ensures that all items picked are in a clean and saleable condition and meet laid down quality standards with regard to packaging, labelling, outer appearance and neatness.
• Follows stock rotation procedure, FIFO (first in first out), as per Stock Controller instructions when picking order.
• Assists with the bi-annual as well as ad hoc stock counts/checks as per Stock Controller instruction.
• Assists fellow workers with execution of tasks whenever own responsibilities have been executed and completed.
• Ensures that work area/s are neat, tidy, organised and clean at all times.
• Assists with and adheres to security measures to ensure the safety of products, assets and facility.
• Assist with the Invoicing of Customer Orders
• Assist walk in Customers with Product Information

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 (essential)
• Warehousing Diploma / Certificate (ideal)
• 2 Years General Worker (essential)
