Job Summary Position Summary: The Security Manager oversees all security operations, personnel, compliance, and client relationships. Responsible for full enforcement of firearm and PSIRA regulations, reporting, and strategic decision-making for the security team Roles & Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the full site security operation including officers and supervisors Conduct firearm SOP audits, register inspections, and compliance checks Ensure all armed personnel have valid firearm licenses and competencies Develop and enforce site-specific SOPs including emergency procedures Participate in and chair weekly and monthly meetings with clients and internal management Review and sign off on daily, weekly, and monthly reports (incident, patrol, access logs) Liaise with SAPS or DSS on firearm compliance, audits, and investigations as needed Supervise training programs (firefighting, first aid, hazard ID, firearm handling) Oversee and ensure proper parades, inspections, and patrol planning Handle escalations, performance reviews, and disciplinary action for staff Ensure all PSIRA and Firearm Control Act regulations are fully complied with Minimum Qualifications & Certifications: PSIRA Grade A Certification Valid Firearm Competency Certificate and License Valid First Aid Level 1 Certificate Valid Firefighting Training Certificate 5+ years of experience in security management Dog Handling certificate (optional) Advanced skills in: Client Relationship Management
