Job Description

The Sous Chef will assist in food preparation, menu execution, kitchen hygiene, and staff supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong cooking skills, attention to detail, and a love for crafting quality dishes under pressure.



Key Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations.



Supervise kitchen staff and ensure food preparation standards.



Maintain quality control and portion consistency.



Monitor stock, wastage, and hygiene standards.



Support menu development and daily specials.



Ensure efficient service during peak hours



Salary:

R7 000 - R8 000 per month



2-4 years' experience in a professional kitchen.



Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety.



Ability to lead by example and work well under pressure.



Excellent communication and teamwork skills.



Culinary qualification advantageous but not essential.



Between 1 - 3 Years
