THE ORGANISATION

Operated by AMANDLA, the Waterberg Development Precincts ("DLABs") consists of several components, and multiple partners, that play a complementary role in creating the platform for multi-sector collaboration, offering sustainable and holistic support for young people, their families and their communities. Precinct Collaboration is driven through a Collective Impact approach.

JOB SCOPE

We are looking to hire a Social Media Officer to join our dynamic DLAB Coordination team. The successful candidate will work closely with all the DLAB partners and Component Leads to capture and produce content for the DLAB. This person will be responsible for managing the DLAB's Social Media accounts and growing the brand's presence.

CORE COMPETENCIES, ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, and PREFERENCES

Educational:

Grade 12 (required) Diploma or degree in Marketing, advertising or related (preferred)

Experience, Skills & Personal Attributes:

Attention to detail. In-depth knowledge of social media platforms namely but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Ability to capture quality content. Familiarity with the DLAB Precinct Model. Familiarity with AMANDLA's and Safe-Hub's branding guidelines. Team-Player. Enthusiasm to learn.

Duties:

Implementing and overseeing the Precinct's social media accounts such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter, etc. Generating engaging content for blogs, info graphs, and videos. Brainstorming digital marketing. Contributing to the Precincts campaign plans. Contributing to website redesign and optimization. Updating the brand's offering on requirements.
