? Minimum Requirements
PSIRA Registration - Grade A (Compulsory)
Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
Security/Risk Management or Policing qualification (Advantageous)
Firearm Competency: Handgun & Shotgun (Mandatory for Armed Sites)
Valid Code 8/B Driver's License
First Aid Level 1 & Firefighting Training (Advantageous)
SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) Compliance Knowledge
Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel & Email
? Experience & Background
Minimum 5 years' experience in security management or a supervisory role
Experience managing large teams of guards, supervisors & control room staff
Strong background in incident investigation, client liaison, and report writing
Proven knowledge of SLA compliance and contractual obligations
Familiarity with CCTV, access control, and radio communication systems

? Core Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations and deployment of security personnel
Conduct site inspections, parades, and enforce compliance with post orders
Maintain operational registers (incident, occurrence, shift, etc.)
Perform regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with PSIRA, OHS Act, Firearms Control Act, and internal policies
Liaise with clients, SAPS, and stakeholders effectively
Investigate and professionally report incidents or breaches
Manage and audit equipment registers (firearms, radios, PPE)
Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and disciplinary matters
Compile accurate weekly/monthly reports for internal and client use
Coordinate and ensure emergency response readiness
? Additional Requirements
Available after hours for emergencies
Physically fit, well-groomed, and presentable
Ability to work in high-pressure and high-risk environments
Knowledge of Sefeco or similar guard monitoring systems (Preferred)
