Purpose of the position:





Primary point of contact to oversee all financial aspects of the organisation. Responsible for the overall financial management for all projects across the organization including: project book-keeping, reporting, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, administration, sub-recipients/sub-partners and staff management.

Minimum Requirements



Honours Degree in Accounting / Business Management / Admin or equivalent CA(SA) registration with SAICA Minimum years' experience in a senior finance role Strong understanding of the non-profit sector Experience working with large international donors such as CDC, USAID, Pepfar and Global Fund Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks Advanced Excel skills (financial modelling experience a must) Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel, SAP and Electronic banking systems knowledge required Clear criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities



Leadership and staff management




Serve as the primary point of contact for all financial related tasks for the organisation Provide leadership and vision and develop policies to achieve the organisation's goals of sound financial management practices Supervise staff from and provide regular constructive feedback Execute the fiduciary responsibilities in accordance with ethical standards, statutory requirements and sound corporate governance practices Provide support to the board as an invited member to board and/or sub-committee meetings as required



Financial management and accounting




Supervision and management of project bookkeeping including cashbook processing and journals Ensures the preparation of bank processing and reconciliations and reviews Ensure the reconciliation all project and statutory accounts Ensures accuracy and completeness of all project revenue and expenses Ensures reconciliation of creditors and debtors Prepares ad hoc reports, reconciliations and analysis as required Ensures that the finance team meets all deadlines set Provides financial management support to program managers Provides assistance to departments for finance related activities as and when necessary (e.g. procurement, travel and logistics etc.) Ensures the accurate financial capturing and reporting of all sub-partner expenses Ensures timeous release of electronic payments in accordance with policy Overall maintenance of the electronic financial system and related processes (e.g. SharePoint) Review and sign off of payroll Work closely with HR to support any relevant processes that overlaps with finance Work closely with support units (procurement, travel, assets) to support any relevant processes that overlaps with finance



Auditing and reviews




Ensures the submission of SARS returns (VAT, PAYE, UIF) and the accounts are up to date Oversees the preparation and execution of the statutory organisational audits Oversees the preparation and execution of funder specific audits



Stakeholder engagement




Build and maintain professional relationships with key influencers, funders, technical experts, government departments, healthcare providers and other organisations Create confidence in the organisations governance and financial management structures Be agile and responsive to the changing priorities and needs of funders, whilst maintaining sound financial management practices



Policies and procedures




Revise and/or formulate policies as needed Ensure that policies and processes are promoted Ensure that there is uptake, application and execution of all relevant policies



POPIA Privacy Champion




Assist the Information Officer and Deputy Information Officer with TB HIV Care's privacy compliance programme by ensuring the following (for the relevant department): + Conducting organizational security and privacy and impact assessments
+ Privacy by design and assurance
+ Supplier/Contractor/Supplier/CBO's and SR's Compliance (if applicable)
+ Development of a data processing register
