Senior Civil Engineer/technologists

Job Description
Our client in the Engineering industry is currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineer/Technologist based in Granger Bay, Cape Town to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Performing initial site surveys, analysing soil, rock and other materials.
- Creating engineering design plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Ensuring project feasibility through research and cost analysis.
- Predicting design and construction time frames.
- Preparing estimates of labour and material costs.
- Negotiating with suppliers.
- Supervising and reporting on overall project progress.
- Reporting problems to Construction Managers and preparing reports for Engineers.
- Involved in all aspects of running projects.
- Interact with other consultants, clients, and contractors.
- Attend site inspections and meetings.
- Deal with Council/Municipality.
- BSc/BEng/BTech degree in Civil Engineering.
- Five (5) years of general civil design experience (including stormwater, sewer and roads) around building structures.
- Civil 3D modelling experience is a prerequisite.
- Must be detailed orientated, organized and a team player.
- Own transport essential.
- Dependant on experience and qualification.
