Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join us on a

contract basis

within the mining industry.


This role requires mining experience (mining assets preferred) and the ability to travel on-site.


The ideal candidate will have strong Business analysis skills including API, data and process analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities and Output Areas Include:

Conducting end-to-end business analysis (data, process, systems, and business analysis). Engaging with key stakeholders to gather, interpret, and document business, functional, and technical requirements. Translating business needs into user stories and integrating them into Agile delivery frameworks. Mapping and analyzing existing and new business processes to optimize efficiency. Ensuring data integrity, quality, and governance across projects. Participating in solution design, testing, and implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Supporting project delivery through implementation and training. Driving risk and quality management processes throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

Matric. Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Business Analysis, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution. 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with at least 2+ years within Mining. BABOK knowledge preferred; CBAP certification is a plus. Proven expertise in Agile, Waterfall, and other methodologies. Hands-on experience with process notations (BPMN) and business process modelling tools (e.g., Bizagi) Strong ability to translate requirements into user stories for Agile teams. Proven track record as a Senior Business Analyst within large-scale projects. Mining industry experience and exposure to mining assets is required. Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills. Willingness to travel and work on-site in Randfontein.
