Purpose of the role:
This role provides expert guidance on system setup, maintenance, and data governance, while coordinating user acceptance testing, implementing enhancements,
and mentoring team members to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient academic data processes and records. Additionally, the role leverages advanced data analysis to identify trends, support strategic decision-making, and improve academic and operational processes
Minimum Requirements
3-year Bachelor's degree
At least three years' experience in data administration and reporting, in the higher education environment
Duties and Responsibilities
Escalated query resolution - that require deeper system knowledge or cross-functional coordination:
Mentor and guide administrators on troubleshooting techniques.
Monitor query trends and recommend system/process improvements.
Collaborate and assist with the development of SOPs and best practices for query resolution.
Take lead on data integrity initiatives:
Perform root cause analysis for recurring data issues and work closely with National Manager Student Data and Academic Systems to implement preventive measures or improvements
Auditing and Quality Assurance of documented processes and procedures. Management of documentation lifecycles and maintaining a centralized repository for easy access and retrieval.
Develop test plans and timelines for testing. Identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria based on business requirements
Deliver insights and advanced analytics to inform decision-making and optimize processes:
Design dashboards using BI tools that consolidate academic data and that is used for decision making pertaining to academic records and the student academic lifecycle
Mentor administrator in data analysis and reporting tools
Adhere to set standards for reporting,
Ensure compliance with institutional academic and data policies and SOP's
Work closely with National Manager Student Data and Academic Systems so as to ensure an understanding of the process of data submission to Regulators
