Job Summary

Hire Resolve's client in the Mining industry is seeking a skilled Section Engineer to join their team in Bloemfontein, Free State.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and guidance to the mining operations in the assigned section
• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and implementation of engineering projects within the section
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operational performance and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential risks and hazards
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the optimal functioning of equipment and infrastructure
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions
• Manage the budget for engineering projects and ensure cost-effective operations within the section

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry
• In-depth knowledge of mining regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance
• Strong technical skills in areas such as mine planning, scheduling, and equipment maintenance
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams
• Proven ability to manage projects within budget and meet deadlines
