About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented
Guesthouse Manager
to oversee the smooth running of our luxury seven-bedroom guesthouse for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate is warm, organised, and experienced in hospitality -- someone who delights in creating seamless, memorable guest experiences while maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Liaison
Manage all guest communications from initial inquiry to check-out, ensuring a five-star experience throughout.
Personally welcome guests and provide attentive, professional service during their stay.
Handle any guest issues or special requests promptly and gracefully.
Bookings & Administration
Oversee all bookings and availability across online platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, direct website, etc.).
Respond efficiently to booking inquiries and manage calendar synchronisation across platforms.
Process payments, manage invoices, and maintain accurate booking records.
Daily Operations & Housekeeping Supervision
Coordinate and supervise housekeeping schedules to maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Oversee linen, amenities, and supply inventory; manage reordering and vendor relationships.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure the property is always guest-ready.
Team & Staff Management
Manage and schedule guesthouse staff, including housekeeping and maintenance personnel.
Ensure smooth communication, training, and performance of the team.
Uphold a culture of professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail.
Property Oversight
Monitor general upkeep, report maintenance issues, and liaise with contractors or suppliers as needed.
Ensure health, safety, and operational compliance at all times.

Requirements
Proven experience in hospitality or guesthouse management (luxury or boutique setting preferred).
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Confident with online booking systems and digital guest management tools, and be used to using apple devices.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a calm, solution-oriented approach.
Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous).
Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as needed during the season. Must be available for a full villa rental check in on the 25th December evening.

On-site or nearby accommodation for December unil beginning Jan if needed, afterwards must live within 15 minutes of Constantia.
