An upmarket and distinguished guest house is seeking an experienced Live-In Guest House Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction. This hands-on role involves managing all key departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, front office, reservations, food & beverage, and events.
Reporting directly to the business owners, the successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of a 14+ bedroom property with exciting potential for restaurant and event offerings.
Responsibilities:
Ensure a welcoming, professional, and personalised experience for all guests throughout their stay.
Supervise daily housekeeping operations to maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards.
Oversee regular maintenance and repairs of the property, ensuring facilities are in excellent working order.
Manage check-ins, check-outs, guest communications, and all booking/reservation processes.
Lead, train, and manage a small team across departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Provide regular operational updates to the business owners and ensure clear communication on issues, progress, and opportunities.
Ensure health, safety, and guest service standards are maintained in line with hospitality best practices.
Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar guest house or boutique hotel management role
  • Strong leadership and operational coordination across departments
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering a high-quality guest experience
