Guest House Manager

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Guest House Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our guest house, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests. This role requires a versatile individual capable of managing various aspects of hospitality, from reservations and guest services to staff supervision and property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Reservation Management:

Process and manage reservations efficiently through multiple channels, including email, telephone, WhatsApp, direct inquiries, and various online platforms. Create, update, and maintain accurate guest reservation records.

Guest Communication & Administration:

Respond promptly and professionally to all guest inquiries and requests across various communication channels (email, phone, in-person). Handle general administrative tasks related to guest relations and guest house operations.

Online Reputation Management:

Actively manage and monitor online reviews on various platforms. Respond to guest feedback in a timely and appropriate manner, addressing concerns and acknowledging positive experiences.

Guest Services (Check-in/Check-out & Payments):

Facilitate smooth and efficient guest check-ins and check-outs. Process guest payments accurately and securely.

Food & Beverage Service:

Oversee and participate in meal preparation and serving to guests, ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation.

Staff Management & Oversight:

Manage and monitor the performance of other guest house staff. Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient teamwork and high service standards.

Procurement & Inventory Control:

Manage purchasing and ordering of supplies and stock. Implement and maintain effective stock control procedures to minimize waste and ensure availability.

Property & Room Management:

Conduct regular inspections of rooms and the overall property to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to quality standards. Perform general duties associated with the effective management and upkeep of a guest house.

General Duties:

Be willing to undertake any reasonable request to complete a task made by management in any other areas of guest house operations, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to overall success.
Requirements

Proven experience in hospitality management, preferably within a guest house or hotel setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in using reservation systems and online platforms. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. A strong customer service orientation and a friendly, approachable demeanor. Basic culinary skills and experience with meal preparation are a plus. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.
