Description
Our client is looking for a capable and energetic General Manager to take full operational responsibility for a luxury guest house set within a serene and scenic estate in the heart of Stellenboschs wine region. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the property, enhancing guest satisfaction, and contributing fresh ideas that elevate the overall guest experience.
In addition to overseeing all departments, the manager will also coordinate and execute small events and conferences, ensuring seamless service delivery. This is a live-out position, with longer-term plans to appoint a resident assistant to cover after-hours responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior management role within a five-star guest house or boutique hospitality environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High energy levels and a naturally positive, hands-on attitude
• Strong focus on consistently delivering an exceptional guest experience
• A strategic thinker with the ability to contribute innovative ideas based on prior experience
• Event and conference coordination experience essential
• Must be Stellenbosch-based or willing to relocate (live-out role)
• Availability to commence by 1 September
