Purpose of the role

Responsible for the marketing and growing of Sanlam's recurring saving's offering within SanlamConnect (Sanlam's distribution force).

What will you do?

Outputs/ Core Tasks:

1. Proactively market Sanlam's recurring saving's solutions and its application to SanlamConnect.
2. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in SanlamConnect, as well as relevant product houses.
3. Support SanlamConnect with:

  • Technical product training, sales angles and relevant competitor positioning.
  • Opportunities to increase penetration of relevant market segments.
  • Data and business intelligence to drive upsell and cross sell initiatives.
  • Strategies, tactics and business plans aimed at exceeding recurring saving's target.
  • Retention of existing business.
4. Initiate and support agreed marketing plans with key stakeholders and SanlamConnect.
5. Provide the product house with regional feedback regarding intermediary sentiment, competitor challenges and market trends.
6. Support the product house with inputs regarding the development of marketing support collateral and tools aimed at enhancing Sanlam's recurring saving's offering.

Note: The successful incumbent should have a valid driver license and own reliable vehicle.

Role Requirements:

Qualifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification e.g. B Comm Financial Planning.
  • CFP or Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Investments will be an advantage.
Experience:
  • 2-3 years relevant experience in a sales capacity within the Financial Services industry.
  • Proven track record with sales related success.
Knowledge:
  • Knowledge and understanding of distribution channels and applicable support structures.
  • Technical knowledge of recurring savings products.
  • Industry knowledge of recurring savings products and applicable legislation.
  • Knowledge of financial planning support and recommendations.
