The Sales Estimator is responsible for accurately determining all the cost of a project, and for preparing cost estimates by analyzing the relevant requirements. He/she must understand the customer specification and help the sales team to create a proposal and track the costs of a project.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales
Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients
Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally to facilitate projects
Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff and clients
Assist with developing and implementing special sales activities to reduce stock
Client Management
Assist with maintaining current client and potential client relationships
Assist with developing customer base necessary to meet all sales forecasts and budgets
Assist with managing account services through quality checks and other follow-up
Assist with managing quality and consistency of product and service delivery
Assist with identifying and resolving client concerns
Administration
Prepare estimations to identify specific targets and projects the number of contacts to be made
Accurately and timeously prepares quotes and send quotes to clients
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
Assist with preparing paperwork to activate and maintain contract services
Assist with preparing a variety of status reports, including activity reports, sales reports, follow- up, and progress reports on goals and targets
Safeguarding of Company property, tools, and equipment
Comply to Company policies and procedures
Follow-up for collection of payment
Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Responsibilities
Report any deviations that could lead to an accident
Participate in Safety Training to improve safety standards
Report incidents and accidents before the end of a shift
Adhere to the Company's Health and Safety policy and procedure
Look after your own safety and that of other employees
Ensure that the SHEQ Management System requirements are met towards customer, internal, ISO, regulatory / legal requirements.
Manage and perform all internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the Organization's products.
Work with Customers, Colleagues and Contractors towards continual improvement of the Management system and report the need for improvement to Management.
Keep up standards and regulations with respect to Products and Services
Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities in line with your capabilities and at the request of your Superior
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years' in the IT or Network Infrastructure industries
A relevant degree / diploma will be an advantage
Must have IT Industry related knowledge
Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Projects
Excellent negotiating skills
Extensive experience with Customer Service
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans
Must have a valid driver's licence and own vehicle
Valid Passport for travel
Willing to work a flexible schedule
Able to adapt new strategies to react to changing business trends
Must comply with the Company's policies and procedures
Experience with budgeting and basic finances
