Job Description

The focus of the position is to prioritise, govern and oversee the delivery of strategic initiatives across the organisation, ensuring all projects and programmes align with business objectives, deliver measurable value and support long-term growth and transformation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitate quarterly prioritisation and PI Planning workshops. Drive Scaled Agile (SAFe) governance: PI Planning, ART Sync, Inspect & Adapt, Portfolio Sync, System Demos and Scrum of Scrums. Establish and monitor portfolio standards, risk controls and compliance frameworks. Track benefits realisation and provide executive-level reporting, dashboards and insights. Manage portfolio budgets, resource allocation and accurate forecasting. Engage executives and stakeholders to ensure transparency on risks, dependencies and priorities. Champion continuous improvement and embed innovative practices across delivery teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Information Systems or related field; NQF 7 preferred. Minimum 3 years (preferably 5+) in portfolio/programme/project management within a complex environment. Proven experience implementing and governing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) - SAFe Agilist / SPC certification highly advantageous. Expert user of portfolio tools (Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI advantageous). Strong financial acumen and budget management experience. High-level skills: Strategy alignment & prioritisation, stakeholder relations, analytical thinking, risk & dependency management, communication, leadership.
