Handle all reservation enquiries, calls, and emails promptly and professionally.
Accurately process and administer group reservations and manage provisional bookings within the PMS.
Ensure accuracy of rates, confirmations, deposits, guest information, and special requests.
Maintain organised records, guest history, booking accuracy, and statistical data.
Review daily arrivals and ensure all bookings are correctly confirmed, especially during peak periods.
Maximise revenue through effective upselling and adherence to cancellation and no-show policies.
Maintain thorough knowledge of room types, facilities, rates, promotions, and third-party channels.
Communicate relevant booking information to Operations, Sales, and Front Office teams.
Identify potential sales leads and assist with pre-bookings of facilities.
Build strong, professional relationships with guests, agents, and internal stakeholders.
Uphold service standards, maintain a positive attitude, and support general departmental tasks as required.
Matric
Hospitality, Travel & Tourism qualification preferred
2-3 years' experience in a Reservations role, ideally within a luxury or 5-star environment
Knowledge of PMS systems
Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous
Strong sales abilities and a customer-focused approach
Knowledge of various travel segments (domestic, international, FIT, groups)
Experience working with OTAs
Outstanding guest service and communication skills
Strong organisational abilities and excellent attention to detail
Willingness to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Ability to work well under pressure
