In this role, youll play a key part in developing and enhancing industrial formulations and processescreating real-world solutions that drive quality, performance, and sustainability.
Location: Roodepoort, Gauteng
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of new industrial formulations and manufacturing processes
Improve existing products to enhance performance, reduce costs, and promote sustainability
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to bring lab innovations to full-scale production
Conduct stability and performance testing of new and existing products
Liaise directly with clients to tailor chemical solutions to specific industrial requirements
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external use
Manage and maintain the laboratory environment, ensuring optimal use of equipment, space, and materials
Stay abreast of the latest industrial chemistry trends, technologies, and safety standards
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry (Masters or PhD advantageous)
At least 37 years of hands-on R&D experience in an industrial chemistry setting ,open to graduates.
Deep understanding of industrial chemical processes and manufacturing systems
Proven experience in product development and process optimization
Proficiency in laboratory equipment, testing methods, and chemical analysis tools
Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, technical writing, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
Requirements
Valid South African ID
Valid Drivers License and reliable own vehicle
Clear medical and criminal record
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent technical and report-writing skills
