to join our project team supporting the implementation of Total Rewards advisory services. The successful candidates will work closely with executives, HR, line managers, employees, and labour stakeholders to deliver expert input on remuneration strategies, salary benchmarking, benefits analysis, and job evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct salary and wage movement benchmarking across Paterson grading levels (A-F).
Support the design and delivery of remuneration reports, including annual increase analysis, wage and race gap analysis, and variable pay benchmarking.
Undertake job evaluations and produce detailed evaluation reports.
Contribute to the review and development of total rewards policies and procedures.
Assist with staff cost affordability assessments and non-monetary reward studies.
Provide ad-hoc remuneration advisory services as required.
Participate in the establishment and training of the grading committee.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management, Board Committees, and Bargaining Forums.
Minimum Requirements:
Reward Specialist designation, as recognised by the
South African Reward Association (SARA)
.
At least
5-6 years' experience
in remuneration, total rewards, or compensation management.
Proven experience in conducting benchmarking studies, salary surveys, and job evaluations.
Strong analytical and report writing skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to stakeholders.
Knowledge of South African labour legislation, remuneration practices, and international norms.
Desirable Competencies:
Experience working with public sector entities, state-owned companies, and/or large corporates.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
Strong project management orientation.
Commitment to fairness, equity, and non-discriminatory labour practices.
