Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical qualification and competency or appropriate experience.
Minimum 8 years' working experience in operations role.
Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Management:
To drive best and most effective cost efficiency across all processes (indirect and direct).
Cascading of suitable metrics to drive strategic key performance indicators (KPIs) and hold teams accountable for reporting on these KPI's.
Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet production needs while minimizing waste.
Strategic Planning
Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute operations strategies aligned with business goals.
Forecast future operational needs and plan accordingly, including capacity planning and resource allocation.
Plant:
Support and lead all plant projects, implementations and manufacturing processes.
Support structured problem-solving methodologies on processes and equipment to rectify or improve the current status.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, manage and nurture a dynamic and competent workforce through a robust performance driven culture ensuring an enabling climate.
Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Collaborate with other Regional heads for optimised Business unit performance.
Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures to deliver defect-free products.
Ensure that the Quality management system is aligned with IATF16949 requirements.
Safety & Compliance
Drive a culture of engagement to ensuring the safety of all individuals is respected and protected.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency on 4M's and drive lean manufacturing principles.
Lead initiatives to reduce costs, increase productivity, and optimize resource utilization.
Implement and sustain strong 5S systems.
Champion for the continuous improvement program (CIP) within the business unit, ensure the CIP culture is active in every plant.
Projects:
Support and mentor the development of production processes and product launches.
Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to management and/or customers.
Budget & Cost Management
Develop, monitor, and control the operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or safety.
Reporting
Monthly reporting of Plant(s) performance to the Managing Executive.
