Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Reddit Community Manager to oversee our growing presence on Reddit. This role involves managing our subreddit, engaging with the community, and enhancing our brand visibility on this influential platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Reddit's unique culture and be adept at fostering positive interactions and discussions. This is a full-time remote position, open to candidates located anywhere in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Community Management: Act as the voice of our brand on Reddit and other platforms, engaging with the community by responding to comments, posts, and messages in a timely and authentic manner. Actively manage and moderate our subreddit to ensure a welcoming and informative environment.
• Engagement Strategy: Implement strategies to grow our subreddit and increase engagement, including AMAs, discussions, and collaborations.
• Trend Analysis: Stay informed about current trends, discussions, and topics on Reddit, providing insights to improve our brandxe2x80x99s presence and engagement.
• Analytics and Reporting: Monitor community metrics and provide regular reports on engagement, growth, and sentiment.
• Feedback Collection: Act as a bridge between the Reddit community and ELVTR, collecting feedback, suggestions, and concerns to be addressed internally.
• Crisis Management: Address negative comments or PR issues swiftly and diplomatically, maintaining our brand's reputation.
• Cross-Team Coordination: Work with our Marketing and Social Media team to align Reddit activities with broader social media strategies.

Requirements

• Proven Experience: Proven experience managing online communities, especially on Reddit. Deep understanding of Redditxe2x80x99s culture, communities, and subreddits.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to engage, persuade and resolve conflicts.
• Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with social media analytics tools and Reddit-specific features.
• Problem-solving: Ability to handle unexpected challenges and community issues effectively.
• High Cognitive Skills: Ability to intellectually engage with our educated Reddit community, especially on topics related to gaming and artificial intelligence.
• Passion for Education: An understanding of the online education industry and ELVTR's mission and values.
