Key Performance Areas
The transportation of radioactive waste on and off site in which complying with the road
Traffic act 1996, radiological specifications and procedure on transportation of dangerous goods and IAEA NECSA SSR-6.
The transportation of non-radioactive goods on and off site.
Inspection and reporting thus to keep the fleet in a sound mechanical and roadworthy condition.
Inspection and reporting on the Pipe Store facility to comply with the license and relevant SHEQ-INS documents.
Inspecting drums, which are to be transported to Pelstore for compliance with Pelstore waste acceptance criteria and bar cording.
Transporting Spent Fuel Elements
Perform AD-HOC tasks.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure that all safety instructions are adhered to.
Ensure that the PPE are used at all relevant times and according to instructions.
Ensure that the PPE are kept in acceptable conditions.
Perform standby duties.
Report all incidents and near misses.
Conduct all HSR inspections as per the appointment.
Ensure that all Nuclear Safety Requirements are adhered to.
Ensure that working areas are kept clean and acceptable.
Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and maintained.
Comply with NECSA's safety procedures and policies.
Assembly (SEA) records, other related records and documents in accordance with PDO quality system requirements.
Verification the correction of existing waste records in QA records.
Preparation and verification of data packs of waste drums destined for disposal
Position drums to track ability by using barcode reader and download information into the computer.
