Requirements



A Relevant BTECH / First degree. Eight (8) years appropriate Loss control / compliance

experience at advisory level and managing a team.



Extensive and specialised knowledge of compliance,

Investigations and Local Government Legislation and Bylaws.



Effective interpersonal as well as oral / written communication

skills.



Ability to deal with high level confidential matters. Computer proficiency (MS Office suite, SAP). A valid driver's license.

Key Performance Areas



Managing the operations of the Internal Control, Investigations and

Protection services functionality within the Water and Sanitation



Directorate.



Develop administrative policies and procedures and standing

instructions to ensure best practice and compliance with local



government strategies.



Plan and administer investigation process for the Department. Conduct and lead professional high-level investigations covering

all employees and movable / immovable assets of the department.



Ensure audit queries and report are dealt with timeously and that

necessary systems and controls are put in place.



Manage a security coordination service. Manage and plan departmental Governance Compliance

assessments and providing Governance and Compliance



Awareness and training.



Coordinate and manage the department insurance function. Manage of Security and protection service unit.
