Our client is a QS company, seeking Junior QS's to join their dynamic team within the Mining field.

Title: Jnr. Quantity Surveyor (Mining industry)

Location: Irene (Pretoria, South Africa)

Salary: R20 000- R28 000 (depending on experience and qualifications.)

(Intermediate position with a higher salary is also available)

Responsibilities/ Duties:

Under the supervision of a registered Quantity Surveyor, carrying out the normal duties and functions which occur within a professional Quantity Surveying office. These duties and functions include, inter alia: -
1.1 Preparing estimates of construction costs
1.2 Measurement of building quantities for bill preparation and final accounts
1.3 Drafting Bills of Quantities
1.4 Site visits and site measurements
1.5 Preparing valuations for issue of interim payment certificates
1.6 Assisting with cost management of construction projects
1.7 Preparing and concluding final accounts
2. Complying with basic office rules and procedures
3. Complying with the procedures laid down by The South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (xe2x80x9cSACQSPxe2x80x9d)
4. Attending all in-house seminars and workshops
5. Obtaining the required computer literacy and skills
6. Working in conjunction with other staff
7. Ensuring compliance with the firmxe2x80x99s quality management systems, including establishing a full knowledge of the quality and practice manuals.

Requirements:

• BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of MS Projects, WinQS and DimX.
• Quality and attention to detail must be exceptional.
