Supervise the activities of QC inspectors assigned to various production stages
Ensure quality control protocols and inspection checklist are consistently followed
Coordinate with Production Supervsiors to resolve in-line quality issues without causing delays
Record and escalate non-conformances and repeat defects to the QC Manager for analysis and action
Conduct regular audits and spot checks to verify adherence to standards.

Machine Department
Frame Up
Sewing
Foam-Up
Upholstery
In process defect detection rate
First pass yield per department
Number of repeated quality issues per department
Compliance with inspection schedules and reporting accuracy
Timeliness and effectiveness of corrective actions
Team performance and productivity
Experience and Qualifications:
Matric (Grade 12) minimum
Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality control with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a furniture or upholstery manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes across multiple stages
Ability to interpret production drawings, work instructions and quality specifications
Competent in using inspection tools and documents QC results
Skilled in problem solving, root cause analysis, and cross functional communication
Experience in training and mentoring QC staff in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
Technically hands on and detail orientated
Proactive in identifying and solving quality issues
Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
Calm under pressure and objective in decision making
Committed to quality and continuous improvement
