Supervise and lead the QC inspection team in the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate inspection of finished upholstery products.
Implement and enforce company quality standards, procedures and checklists.
Conduct regular product audits
Investigate quality issues and analyze root causes
Coordinate with production, warehousing and customer service teams to resolve quality concerns and ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain detailed inspection records and quality reports
Reporting of feedback to management and production departments.
Train and mentor QC inspectors by promoting awareness of quality standards and procedures
Ensure health and safety compliance
Participate in incoming material inspections and verify conformance to specifications
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and quality system audits
Experience and Qualifications:
Matric (Grade 12) Minimum
Technical diploma in furniture manufacturing or quality management
3-5 years' experience in QC role within furniture or upholstery manufacturing
Strong knowledge of upholstered furniture construction, materials and common defects
Familiarity with quality standards, inspection techniques and measurement tools
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Proficient in MS office (Excel/Word)
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
Technically hands on and detail orientated
Proactive in identifying and solving quality issues
Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
Calm under pressure and objective in decision making
