Job Description
Join our client, a leading sugar manufacturing company, as a Projects Engineer based in the Natal Midlands. In this permanent role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the effective delivery of project activities linked to the site's strategic initiatives. As a Projects Engineer, you will provide specialized project support, define project scope and objectives, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the successful delivery of project activities aligned with site strategic initiatives.
- Provide specialized project support to the site, ensuring projects are executed efficiently.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
- Promote a culture of consistently assessing risks and driving continuous improvement throughout operations.
- Adhere to and promote SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) and food safety standards.
- Report directly to the Factory Manager, providing regular updates on project progress.
- Degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / C&I Engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in large-scale project management and implementation.
- Familiarity with Costrac or similar project management tools would be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrates the importance of safety, quality, and teamwork, effectively leading and communicating because our people matter.
- Working knowledge of OHS Act, NOSA, and ISO9001.200.
